Drscription
From the end of the Kamakura period to the Nanbokucho period, swordsmiths such as Unsho, Unji, and Unju appeared in Ukanso, Bizen, whose style was different from that of the Osafune school.
and because all of their inscriptions are prefixed with the character `Un', this school is also called the cloud class, and also called the Ukan school from the place where they lived.
It is said that Uno and Unji went to Kyoto and became Emperor Go-Daigo's servants, and served the government.
Unsho is the founder of the Ukan school, and there are works dating back to the Kagen era, so his active period is clear.
The works of Kumo(Un)-rui differ from ordinary Bizen items, and some incorporate the style of the Rai school of Yamashiro and the Aoe school of Bitchu.
This Tachi has a clear Niji(two-character) inscription of Unsho and is a rare sword that has retained its original appearance. IT has a wide Mihaba, Deep Sori. It has a beautiful shape with Koshizori-tsuku, Itamehada, Jinie entered finely, Chikei entered well, Midare-Utsuritatsu with Jigane, Notare, Gunome, Mixed Small-Gunome, Small-Ashi and You entered well, Small-Nie entered frequently, Kinsuji and Sunagashi-shikirinikakari, Nioikuchi is bright and clear,It is a masterpiece that it is a Juyo Candidate.
