- 来国光は、来国俊の子で、来派の中でも最も作域が広く、年紀作は、鎌倉末期の正和二年（1313年）から、元徳・貞和を経て南北朝中期の観応二年（1351年）に及び、44振が国宝・重文・重美に指定されている山城伝の代表工である。この刀は、身幅広く、内反りの大振りな寸延短刀で、小杢目交じりの小板目肌がつみ、地沸微塵に厚くつき、地景細かく頻りに入り、明るく沸映り立ち、冴えた美しい地鉄に、直刃調に、小互の目交じり、湯走り・飛び焼き・二十刃頻りに掛り、小足・葉入り、キラキラと輝く沸がよくつき、金筋・砂流し頻りに掛るなど、刃中良く働き、匂口明るく冴える傑作である。Rai Kunimitsu is the son of Rai Kunishi, and has the widest range of works among the Rai sect.His works range from 1313 at the end of the Kamakura period, through Motonoku and Sadakazu, to Kan'o 2 in the middle of the Nanbokucho period. 1351) and is a representative craftsman of Yamashiroden, with 44 swings designated as national treasures, Juyo Bunkazai(important cultural properties）, and Juyo Bijutsuhin（important works of art.）
