- 正春刀匠は、徳島県御所村の出身で本名を樫山登といい、同郷の斬れ味で知られる一刀斎正清刀匠に師事、後に人間国宝大隅俊平門となり、さらに河内國平刀匠にも学んでいる。相伝備前や一文字などの古作写しを得意とし、また凄まじい斬れ味にも定評がある。本作は、80cm近い長さに、身幅3.7cm、重量は1225gもある反りが深く腰反りつき猪首鋒となる鎌倉中期の豪壮な太刀姿で、清涼で冴えた地鉄に、焼き幅大きく重花丁子・袋丁子・蛙子丁子など交え、これ以上ないほどに華やかに乱れ、足・葉頻りに入り、沸深くつき、金筋砂流し頻りにかかる。究極の一文字写し最高傑作である。Swordsmith Masaharu is from Gosho village in Tokushima prefecture and his real name is Kashiyama Noboru. He studied under swordsmith Ittousai Masakiyo, who is from the same hometown and is known for the sharpness of his swords. He later became a Ningen Kokuho and a disciple of Osumi Toshihira, and also studied under swordsmith Kawachi Kunihira.
He is skilled in copying ancient works such as Soden Bizen and Ichimonji, and is also renowned for his incredible sharpness.
This sword is nearly 80cm long, 3.7cm Mihaba, and weighs 1225g. It is a magnificent Tachi from the mid-Kamakura period, and Koshizori-tsuki with Ikubi-Kissaki. The clear good Jigane with Big Yakihaba and Juka-style Chouji, Fukuro-Chouji, Mixed KAwazuko-chouji, It is as gorgeously Midare as it gets. There are Ashi and You frequently, Deep Nioi-tsuki, Kinsuji and Sunagashi-shikirinikakaru. This is the ultimate masterpiece of Ichimonji-copy.
