Iganokami Kinmichi was the eldest son of Seki no Kanemichi, the founder of the Sanshin school, and in 1593, he married his father and three younger brothers (Izuminokami Kinmichi, Tanbanokami Yoshimichi, and Ecchunokami Masatoshi). ) moved from Mino to Kyo, and as the eldest brother of the family, he greatly increased the name of the Mishina school. In the 3rd year of Bunroku, he received the title of Igamokami and was given Kinri Goyo.
In the spring of the 19th year of the Keicho era, he received an order from Ieyasu to make a Tachi-senkoshi(太刀千腰), and with his accomplishments, he became the ``Nihon Kaji Sousyo(Master Master of Japanese Blacksmiths)'' and was solely responsible for mediating the acceptance of swordsmiths to the Imperial Court, a role that the Igamokami family held for generations until the end of the Edo period, flourished.Died in December 1629.
