Drscription
Tsutsui Norimitsu was born in 6th Kanbun as the son of Ecchunokami Kanekuni, a blacksmith of the Yamato Monju school. He took the name Terukuni and became a monk around the Houei period, taking the name Norimitsu. Initially forged in Osaka, it was moved to Kawachi during the Kyoho era and later to Kujo in Yamatokooriyama. Said to be a descendant of the Sengoku Daimyo Tsutsui Junkei, the Tsutsui surname is often included in the inscription. His style is heavily influenced by Osaka Shinto. He particularly admires Tsuda Echizennokami Sukehiro, and forges Toran-ba with deep Nie and Nioi that evokes Sukehiro's work. As a Yamato Monju-style blacksmith, the Jigane has a strong Masa, when it is incorporated into the sword, Kinsuji and Sunagashi entered long and frequently. This sword has thick Jinie, Notare, Gunome and Mixed Choujiba, Toran-Midare, Kinsuji and Niesuji, Sunagashi entered frequently, IT works well in sword, Deep Nie-Nioi, Nioikuchi is bright and clear. a masterpiece that is not inferior to Sukehiro.
