Kaga Province's Kanewaka, named Tsujimura Shirouemon Jinroku, moved to Kaga with his family from his home province of Mino. He initially received the title of Ecchu Daijo, and in the second year of the Genna period, he was appointed Ecchu nokami and changed his name to Takahira. The Kaneyaka family flourished under the patronage of the Maeda family. In the Kanazawa domain, they were so popular in the past that it was said that they would give their wives to those who had Kanewaka ranks, even if their stipends were low.
