The Yamato Shikkake school was founded by Norinaga around the Shouou period (1288) in the late Kamakura period, and was a group of swordsmiths who, like the Tegai school, were subordinate to Todaiji Temple and flourished during the early Muromachi period.
This sword is a Suriage sword, but it is wide Mihaba and 3.1cm long. Standard Sori, It is in the form of the end of the Kamakura period, when it became Chu-Kissaki.
