The Iwamoto school was a school of Edo metalwork that refined carving techniques.
The Iwamoto family was originally of the Yokoya school, but the 6th Iwamoto Konkan perfected his own unique style by incorporating the Yokoya school of the Nara school.
Iwamoto Hirotoshi: Died in 1815 (Bunka 12) at age 40.
In disciples of Konkan Iwamoto, I become an adopted child later and inherit birthright of the seventh generation.
He was a skilled craftsman who protected the school and was active in the art. His pen name was Kouryuken.
