Sadatsugu, whose name is Kinichi Takahashi, was born in 1901.He studied under Gassan Sadakazu and Sadakatsu, studied the style of old swords from the Taisho period, and became familiar with Goka-den. In 1930, he opened a training hall in his hometown of Matsuyama, and in 1930 he won the Prime Minister's Award at the first sword exhibition, and in 1945 he began training the sacred swords of Kamakura Hachimangu Shrine.
After the war, he devoted himself to the sword preservation movement, and in 1950 he produced the treasure sacred sword for the Shikinen Sengu of Ise Jingu Shrine.In 1955, he became the first swordsmith to be recognized as an Important Intangible Cultural Property Ningen Kokuho(Living National Treasure). I gave my name. He has forged many protective swords for the imperial family. He passed away in 1968 at the age of 66.
This work is the Kageuchi that was used to create the amulet sword for the Empress Empress Michiko in commemoration of the marriage of the Empress Empress in 1966, and the Nakago is also engraved with the fact that it was forged with the same iron as the Crown Princess's amulet sword. With its dignified Uchizori appearance, it successfully captures Awataguchi-Utsushi, The carvings of this work are exquisite and exquisite, with bamboo and plum blossoms on the front and pine on the back.
