Houkinokami Masayuki is a child of Ijichi Masayoshi, the second generation of the Satsuma domain, and was born in the 18th year of Kyoho.In the first year of Kansei, he received Houkinokami at the same time as Okumotodaira, handed over the name of Masayoshi to his firstborn, and changed himself to Masayuki.Among the Satsuma Shinshintou blacksmiths, he is a master craftsman who is the best of both worlds along with Okuyamatonokami Motohira.As for the style, he is good at Soshu-den's work,Notare,Gunome, Togarigokoro-ha, Deep Nioi, With rough Nie, Sunagashi and Kinsuji-kakaru.He died at the age of 86 in the first year of Bunsei.
