甚吾とは、志水氏。肥後国八代に移住して肥後金工の一主流をなして著名となる一派。大きな図柄を大胆に真鍮据紋象嵌洋式の鍔を造る。初代は仁兵衞。平田彦三の甥。延宝三年没。二代永次-三代永義-四代未詳-五代茂永-六代永典-七代永恭-八代永利と明治まで継承された。Nadekakugata Tetsutsuchimeji Sukidashibori KageSukashi Zougan SukinokoshiDotemimi

The first generation was Jinbei. He is Hikozo Hirata's nephew. He died in the third year of Enpo. The second generation Eiji, the third generation Nagayoshi, the fourth generation unknown, the fifth generation Shigenaga, the sixth generation Eideni, the seventh generation Eikyou, and the eighth generation Nagatoshi, and it was inherited until the Meiji era.
