- 恒弘は、備前長船の鍛冶で、初代は、鎌倉末期元徳から南北朝中期にかけて、二代が応安から室町初期応永にかけて活躍した。二代恒弘は、長義の弟子と伝え、重要刀剣にも多数指定されている名工で、伊達家伝来の太刀が有名である。この刀は、身幅尋常、反り深く、中鋒となる優美な太刀姿で、杢目肌に、地景よく入り、鮮やかに乱れ映りが立つ地鉄に、腰の開いた互の目基調に、互の目・小互の目・尖刃など交え、足入り、匂口明るく冴える名品である。Tsunehiro was a Bizen Osafune blacksmith, and the first generation was active from the late Kamakura period Motoku to the mid-Nanbokucho period, and the second generation was active from the Ouan period to the early Muromachi period Ouei period. The second generation Tsunehiro is said to be a disciple of Nagayoshi, and is a master craftsman who has been listed in many Juyo Tokens, and is famous for Tachi, which has been passed down from the Date family.
