- 三原は、鎌倉末期から室町期にかけて備後国三原の地に栄えた一派で、鎌倉末期正和頃の正家を祖とすると伝え、代表工には正家・正広を始め、正光・政清・正信・政広らがいる。備後国には大和の諸大寺の荘園があったため、作風は大和物の影響が伺われる。正信は、南北朝後期から室町初期に活躍している。この刀は、板目肌に、杢目交じり、地景入り、映りたつ地鉄に、中直刃に、ほつれ掛り、小足よく入り、小沸よくつき、金筋・砂流し掛るなど刃中よく働き、締りごころの刃が明るく冴え出来が優れている。Mihara is a sect that prospered in the land of Bingonokuni Mihara from the end of the Kamakura period to the Muromachi period. There are Masahiro and Masaie, Masamitsu, Masakiyo, Masanobu, Masahiro others.Since there was a manor of various Daiji temples in Yamato in Bingonokuni, the style is influenced by Yamatomono.
