- 長船長光は、備前長船派祖である光忠の子で二代目を継ぎ、父とならび称賛されている。景光・近景・長元など多くの弟子をもち、作風は光忠同様華やかなものから、直刃に小丁子交じる穏やかなものまであるが、技量に叢がなく出来がよい。長船長光には、国宝6口、重文28口、重美42口もの指定がある。本作は、元は83cm程の太刀で、身幅広く、先幅も広い豪壮な姿を呈し、鮮やかな乱れ映りが立つ地鉄に、丁子乱れに互の目交じり、蛙子調の丁子なども交え、華やかに乱れ、更に頗る健全な傑作である。Osafune Nagamitsu is the son of Mitsutada, the founder of the Osafune faction, and is praised along with his father. He has many disciples such as Kagemitsu and Chikakage, and his style ranges from gorgeous as Mitsutada to gentle with Suguha and small Chouji, but his skill is not plexus and good. There are 6 national treasures, 28 important cultural properties, and 42 important cultural properties.
This work is originally a Tachi of about 83 cm, Mihaba is wide, Sakihaba is also wide and magnificent, Jitetsu with vivid Midare-utsuri stands, Chouji-midare mixed with Gunome, Kawazuko style Chouji etc. are gorgeous It is a masterpiece of Midare and Kenzen.
