- 伯耆守正幸は、薩摩藩工二代伊地知正良の子で、享保十八年に生まれ、三代目を継いで正良と名乗った。寛政元年奥元平と同時に伯耆守を受領し、正良の名を嫡男に譲り、自らは正幸と改めている。薩摩新々刀鍛冶の中では奥大和守元平と共に双璧となる名工である。作風は、のたれに、互の目・尖りごころの刃を交え、匂深く、粗目の沸がつき、砂流し・金筋かかるなど相州伝の作柄を得意としている。文政元年八十六歳で没している。この刀は、二尺五寸近い長さに、身幅3.5cmもある豪壮刀で、板目に、流れ肌が交り、地沸が厚くつき、地景頻りに掛り、明るく冴える地鉄に、のたれに、互の目・丁子刃など交え、金筋・稲妻・砂流し頻りにかかり、沸が厚くつき、刃中の働き見事で、最上砥ぎがかけられ、得意とする志津風の作域となる覇気溢れる正幸の傑作である。Houkinokami Masayuki was born in the 18th year of the Kyoho era and was the son of Masayoshi Ijichi, the second generation of the Satsuma clan.
In the first year of Kansei, he received Houkinokami at the same time as Motohira Oku, transferred the name Masayoshi to his legitimate son, and changed himself to Masayuki.
Among the Satsuma Shinshinto swordsmiths, he is a master craftsman with Oku Yamatono kami Motohira.
In terms of style, he is good at Soshuden's patterns, such as a Notare, Gunome, Mixed TogarigokoronoYaiba, Deep Nioi, with coarse Nie. He is good at Sosyuden's work, such as Sunagashi and Kinsuji-kakaru. He died at the age of eighty-six in the first year of Bunsei.
This sword is about 74.7cm long and 3.5cm Mihaba a magnificent sword. ITame, and mixed Nagarehada, Jinie entered thick, Chikei-shikirinikakari, Jitetsu is bright and clear. Notare, Gunome and Mixed Choujiba, Kinsuji and Inazuma, Sunagashi-shikirinikakari, Nie entered thick.The work of the blade is superb, and the best sharpening is applied.It is a masterpiece of Masayuki full of ambition, which is the work area of Shizukaze, who is good at it.
