Yoshikage has long been believed to be the second son of Kagemitsu, Kanemitsumon, or Chogimon, but in recent years it is believed to be a lineage of Nagamitsu's senior disciple's close-up, due to his style and the characteristics of his inscription.
Also designated as Juyo-bunkazai and Juyo-bijutsuhin, along with Kanemitsu and Nagayoshi, he is the representative worker of Soden-Bizen.
