Drscription
Ryokai was a swordsmith of the Rai school from the mid to late Kamakura period, and his name was Kurouzaemon.
The surviving dates are Shouou, Einin, Kagen, etc., and it is recognized that he was a swordsmith of the same generation as Rai Kunitoshi.
His style is similar to that of Kunitoshi Rai, but Shirake stands out and Urumigokoro is featured in the blade.
This sword has a Tachi figure that expresses the characteristics of Kahyo-zori's deeply attached Yamashiro. Itamehada, Mixed Mokume-hada, Hayori-Masagakari, Utsuritachi with clear Jigane, Suguha-style, Mixed Small-Gunome, Small-Ashi well, Small-Nie deeply, Kinsuji and Sunagashi shikirinikakaru ,work well in the blade. Nioikuchi is bright and clear, There are no Urumi and Shirakegokoro, It is a masterpiece of work that can be considered as Rai Kunitoshi.
