- 正恒は、平安後期に活躍した友成と並び古備前を代表する名工である。本作は、茎尻は詰めているが作刀時の姿を留める生ぶの太刀で、3.1cmと身幅広く、反り深く、腰反り・踏ん張り付き、先細くなり小鋒に結ぶ平安後期の優美な姿で、小板目肌つみ、杢目交じり、地沸微塵につき、乱れ映り立つ美しい地鉄に、直刃調に、小互の目交じり、湯走り・飛び焼きかかり、小足頻りに入る古雅な出来で、匂出来、小沸つき、金筋細かくかかり、匂口明るく格調高い名品である。Masatsune, along with Tomonari, who was active in the late Heian period, is a master craftsman representing Ko-Bizen.
This work is a Ubu-Tachi that retains the appearance at the time of making the sword, although it is stuffed with Nakagojiri. Wide Mihaba is 3.1cm, Deep Sori, Koshizori and Funbaritsuki, In the graceful appearance of the late Heian period, tapered to a small tip, Small-Itamehada-tsumi, Mixed Mokume, Jinie entered finely, Midare-Utsuritatsu with beautiful Jigane, Suguha-style, Mixed Small-Gunome, Yubashiri and Tobiyakikakari, Small-Ashi entered well and elegant finish with a lot of Small-Ashi. Nioi-deki, Small-Nie-tsuki, Kinsuji is a fine product with a bright Nioikuch and elegant masterpiece.
