Naotsuna, whose name was Kyuemon, is said to be Masamunemon, and was a master craftsman counted as one of the Masamune Jittetsu. During the Nanbokucho era, he lived and worked in Dewa, Iwami Province. His style is characterized by dark blackish Jigane, Mixed Moku and Chikei entered, Hamon is dominated by Gunome, with prominent Sosyu-den characteristics such as Sunagashi-kakaru.
