The Omori school, along with the Yanagawa and Ishiguro schools, were metalworkers of the Yokoya school who were active in town carving in Edo. The first Hidemasa became a disciple of Sokin YokoyaSoumin and played an active role, leaving behind the ability and achievements of the Ishiguro school. He inherited the style of the Yokoya school with the technique of high carved gold painting(Kiniroe) on shakudonanakoji.

Hidetoshi Omori is a disciple of the Omori school.
