後藤光正は半左衛門の弁乗の次男。半左衛門を襲名し6代目を継ぐ。一乗の甥で内弟子としても修業し、のちに江戸におもむいて四郎平衛光晃について修行する。一乗家の晩年の代作も行い、一門の塾頭でもあった。良工。明治維新後は、大蔵省造幣局長官も務めた。Kinmukuji Katachibori
Goto Mitsumasa was the second son of Hanzaemon Benjo. He took the name Hanzaemon and became the 6th generation head of the family. He was the nephew of Ichijo and trained as an apprentice, later moving to Edo to train under Shirobei Mitsuakira. He also performed substitute work for the Ichijo school in its later years and served as the school's head academy. A skilled craftsman, he also served as Director-General of the Mint Bureau of the Ministry of Finance after the Meiji Restoration.
