The Ito school was active as a tsuba specialist for the Edo Shogunate.

With Masanaga in the Genroku era as the first generation, the second generation Masakaki, the third generation Masakata, the fourth generation Masayoshi, the fifth generation Masachika, the sixth generation Masatane, the seventh generation Masaya, the eighth generation Masajo, the ninth generation Masahiro, and the tenth generation Masataka.

Masakata正方 (Masakata政方) was commonly known as Genjiro, and changed his name to Jinemon after inheriting the family estate. He was good at hoshinbori and was said to be the son of Masatsune and died in 1774.

His style is Ito-style, with round iron ground and meat carved openwork. There is also His designs include bamboo bamboo, autumn insects, and sailing ships, but many of them are plants.
