The main line of Bizen Osafune began with Mitsutada in the middle of the Kamakura period, and was succeeded by Nagamitsu, Kagemitsu, and Kanemitsu. Kanemitsu's sword-making spans a long period of 45 years, from Gentoru in the late Kamakura period to Sadaharu in the Nanbokucho period.

Until around the Yasunaga era of Nanbokucho, his style was similar to that of his father Kagemitsu, with Gunome and Suguha mixed with Gunome blades in an ordinary form, but from around Sadakazu his figure became larger and the main tone was Notare. It becomes the so-called Soden-Bizen of strong Nie.
This sword has 3.2cm wide Mihaba, Thin Kasane, Wide Mihaba and Wide Sakihaba,With Nanbokucho's majestic appearance, Mokume-hada, Jinie entered thickly, Chikei entered well, Midare-Utsuritatsu beautiful Jigane, It is a masterpiece of Kataochi-gunome-yaku Juyo candidate of Kagemitsu style.
