吉岡因幡介家は幕府の抱え工として権威のある家柄で、慶長時代の初代重次から幕末の九代重貞に至るまで繁栄を誇っている。幕府の抱え高である為無銘のまま納品したと思われ、上代の作品は在銘のものがなく、六代以降の頃から吉岡因幡介の記銘作品が多く制作された。
この鍔は、吉岡の伝統的な赤銅魚子地に高彫金色絵の手法で作られている作品である。Tatemarugata Syakudounanakoji Takabori Kiniroe Takabori-Kiniroe Marumimi Ryouhitsuana(Kataume)
The Yoshioka Inabasuke family is a family with authority as a vassal of the shogunate, and boasts of prosperity from the first generation Shigetsugu in the Keicho era to the ninth generation Shigesada at the end of the Edo period. It is thought that they were delivered unsigned because the shogunate was in charge of it, and there were no signed works in the early period.
This tsuba is a work made with the technique of TakaborikinIroe on Yoshioka's traditional shakudo Nanakoji.
