Sasaki Ipoh was a swordsmith of the Oumi-Ishidou school, there were two generations, with the first active roughly from the Kanei period to Keian eras and the second from the Kanbun to Tenwa eras. The first generation Ipoh insceibed his name using two characteres in a clerical spcript style, whereas the second generation Ippou used long inscriptions that included his secular or religious name.
