Hidehiro, whose name was Tauchi Kusujirou was a disciple of Sa Yukihide; he became a swordsmith for the Tosa Domain and served as Yukihide's right-hand man, acting as his Aizuchi. He was a leading disciple of Yukihide, with extant works dating from the Bunkyu through the Meiji eras. A magnificent sword, Deep Nie-Nioi, Hiro-suguha, Notare-ba, He excelled in a style modeled after that of his master, Yukihide.
