The second Kanesada studied under the first Echigo no Mori Kanesada, succeeded him, and at first called himself Echigo no Mori Kanesada, but around the eighth year of Enpou, when the first's real child, Iwamatsu, came of age, he changed the name to Echigo no Mori Kanesada. He handed it over and called himself Sakakura Kotonoshin Terukane. The style of the second generation is closer to that of Sukehiro Tsuda than the first generation, and specializes in Toran-midare.
