- 石州貞綱は、正宗門直綱の子と伝え、南北朝中期の正平十年（文和四年）の年紀作があり、直綱同様石州出羽で鍛刀している。貞綱の作風は直綱に似て、互の目調のものと小のたれ調のものを見るが、いずれも沸がよくつき、砂流しのさかんにかかるものである。この刀は、身幅広く、先幅広く、重ね薄めに、反りやや深く、腰反り付き、中鋒延びごころとなる南北朝時代の体配で、地沸厚くつき、映り立つ黒みがかった地鉄に、互の目に丁子刃交え、食い違い・飛び焼き・二重刃交じり、足・葉頻りに入り、沸深くよく付き、金筋・沸筋・砂流し幾重にも頻りに掛るなど刃中見事に働き、覇気溢れ、匂口明るく冴える傑作である。Sekishu Sadatsuna is said to be the son of Masamune Naotsuna, and there is a work written in the 10th year of the Shohei era (Bunwa 4th year) in the middle of the Nanbokucho period, and like Naotsuna, he forged his sword in Sekishu Dewa.Sadatsuna's style is similar to Naotsuna's, with Gunome style and Small-Notare style, but both have a Nie entered well. Sunagashi entered a lot.
