- 伊賀守金道は、三品派の祖である関の兼道の長男で、文禄二年(1593年)に父と三人の弟(和泉守金道、丹波守吉道、越中守正俊)とともに美濃から京に移住し、一門の長兄として三品派の名を大いに高めた。文禄3年伊賀守を受領して禁裏御用を賜る。慶長19年の春、家康より太刀千腰の注文を受け、その功をもって「日本鍛冶宗匠」となり、刀工たちの朝廷への受領斡旋を一手に引き受けたが、これは代々伊賀守家が幕末まで務め栄えた。 寛永6年(1629年)12月没。二代伊賀守金道は、名を三品勘兵衛といい、初代伊賀守金道の長男として生まれ、寛永十四年に伊賀守を受領、延宝八年没。この刀は、77cmの長さに、身幅広く、反り尋常、中鋒となる延宝頃の作で、板目肌に、杢目肌交じり、地沸厚くつく地鉄に、華やかな互の目丁子を焼き、足・葉頻りに入り、小沸つき、粗目の沸を交え、金筋・沸筋掛り、地刃冴える優品である。Iganokami Kinmichi was the eldest son of Seki no Kanemichi, the founder of the Sanshin school, and in 1593, he married his father and three younger brothers (Izuminokami Kinmichi, Tanbanokami Yoshimichi, and Ecchunokami Masatoshi). ) moved from Mino to Kyo, and as the eldest brother of the family, he greatly increased the name of the Mishina school.
