Ueno Daijo Sukesada was born in 1621. His name was Yokoyama Heibei, and he was the sixth generation grandson of the first Yozaemonnojo Sukesada. He received the title of Ueno Daijo in ４th Kanbun(1664), and was the most skilled of the Shinto Sukesadas.
He died in 1721 at the age of 89.
This sword has wide Mihaba, Standard Sori, Motosaki-habasa-tsuku, It has the appearance of the Enpo era, Itamehada, Mixed Mokumehada, Jinie entered fine and thick, Chikei entered finely with beautiful Jigane, Koshibiraki-Gunomejouji, Gorgeouse Yaki, Kaninotsume, It has a rich variety of styles, including Tamayakikakaru, Deep Nie-Nioi, Excellent Deki, It is full of ambition, Jiba is clear outstanding. This is a masterpiece that could be considered the representative work of Ueno Daijo, who is a candidate for the Juyo candidate.
