Drscription
Kanefusa is a swordsmith of the Seki Zensei school, which began with Seizaemon Kanefusa around Eikyo in the early Muromachi period, and has served as the head of the Seki blacksmiths for generations.Kanefusa around the Taiei era, who founded Kanefusa Midare, and Kanefusa around the Eiroku era, who later changed his name to Ujifusa, are famous.
Kanefusa of the Eiroku era was a blacksmith employed by Oda Nobunaga. He was born in the third year of Tenbun and was named Kawamura Kyozaburo.

In the second year of Koji, he took over the position of head of the clan from his elder brother, and in the thirteenth year of the Eiroku era, he changed his name to Ujifusa and was appointed as the governor of Wakasa.

This sword is inscribed by Kanefusa of the Eiroku period (later known as Wakasa no Kami Ujifusa) and is a masterpiece that combines a large Kanefusa-Midare pattern with a Muramasa-style Hakoba pattern.
