The Kanabou school is a branch of the Yamato Tegai school and is said to have begun around the Eisho period in the Mid-Muromachi period, with many members using the single character "正(Masa)" or "政(Masa)" and their style is primarily Yamato-den with some Mino and Bizen influences. Masazane was the founder of the Kanabou school and was active around the Eisho period.
This sword has wide 3.3cm Mihaba and a magnificent appearance, Itamehada, Mokume and mixed Nagarehada, Jinie entered thick, Utsuritatsu Jigane, Chu-Suguha style, Mixed Small-Gunome, There are Ashi and You, Small-Nie entered deeply and frequently, Kinsuji , Niesuji and Sunagashi-kakari, Nioikuchi shizumigokoro, an excellent sword.
