- 康信は、名を富田孫兵衞といい、初代康広の弟で紀伊国に生まれ、初銘を安信と切り、紀伊守を受領、兄と共に石堂派の繁栄の礎を作った名工である。石堂派は、福岡一文字の末流と伝えられている。この刀は、身幅広く3.4cmある豪壮な姿で、乱れ映り立つ清涼で美しい地鉄に、逆掛る丁子に、袋丁子・蛙子丁子・小丁子・飛び焼きなど交え、焼き深く華やかに乱れ、足・葉頻りに入り、匂出来、匂口明るく、古作の一文字に紛れるような出来の傑作である。Yasunobu, whose given name was Tomita Magobei, was the younger brother of the first generation Yasuhiro and was born in Kii Province. He initially signed his work with the name Yasunobu, received the title of Kiinokami(Governor of Kii Province), and together with his brother, was a master craftsman who laid the foundation for the prosperity of the Ishido school.
