Toshihira swordsmith was born in 1932 in Ota City, Gunma Prefecture. His name is Sadao Osumi. In 1950, he studied under Akihira Miyairi and learned sword making techniques. In 1960, he became independent. In 1961, In 1953, he received the Masamune Prize at the New Swords Exhibition, and in 1997, he was certified as a holder of important intangible cultural property. He devoted himself to studying and perfecting the Suguha of the Aoe school, using old famous swords from the Heian and Kamakura periods as models. He passed away in 2009. This sword is 79.6cm long, with wide Mihaba 3.4cm, Thick Kasane, Deep Sori, Weight over 1.1kg, IT is a magnificent sword with Shoubu-dukuri, Small-Itamehada-tsumi, Mixed small-Mokumehada, Jinie entered fine and thick, Chikei entered finely with clear beautiful Jigane, There are Ashi and You frequently. This is a masterpiece of Aoe-Utsushi which was made by Suguha.
