Kazuhira's real name was Ohkubo Towazu, born in 1943. He became a disciple of NingenKokuho(Living National Treasure) Miyairi Akihira in 1961, and in 1967 he entered the 3rd Shinsaku-Meitouten(New Masterpiece Sword Exhibition) and was selected. Since then, he has received the Excellence Award twice, the Encouragement Award twice, and the Effort Award seven times. In 2000, he became a Mukansa of  NBTHK(the Japan Art Sword Preservation Association). He passed away in 2003.
This Tachi has wide Mihaba, Deep Sori, Koshizori-tsuki, It has the shape of a Kamakura-period Tachi, known as an Ikubi-Kissaki. Small-Mokumehada-tsumi, Shining Jinie entered thick, Chikei entered frequently with beautiful Jigane, Notare, Mixed Gunome, Yubashiri, Nijuba, Tobiyaki entered frequently, There are Ashi and You frequently, Nie entered well, Kinsuji entered frequent and long, Deep Nioi, Nioikuchi is bright. It is a masterpiece that is indistinguishable from the Sosyu-den masterpieces of the Kamakura period.
