The Bitchu Aoe school was a group of swordsmiths who were active mainly in the lower reaches of the Takahashi River in Bitchu Province. It is said to have originated with Yasutsugu and Moritsugu in the late Heian period. The period from the late Heian to the mid-Kamakura period is broadly divided into Ko-Aoe (Old Aoe) and Aoe from there onward.
There appear to have been about three swordsmiths named Suketsugu, one in the early Kamakura period (around Joukyu), one in the mid-Kamakura period (around Kocho), and one in the late Kamakura period (around Einin).
This sword has Wide Mihaba 3.3cm, Deep Sori, Koshizori, Funbaritsuki, Motosaki has a width difference. Sakifusegokoro, Chu-Kissaki sword, dating from the late Heian period to the early Kamakura period, possesses a dignified form with Mokumehada, Jinie entered fine and thick, Fainly Chikei entered Chirimen-style, Midare-Utsuritatsu with beautiful Jigane, Suguha-style, Mixed Small-Gunome, Small-Ashi and You entered frequently, Kinsuji and Sunagashi-kakari, Despite being over 800 years old, it remains remarkably Kenzen, With remaining Boushi and Haniku, Jiba is moist(Uruoi), A serene and perfectly preserved masterpiece.
