Drscription
The Enju school was founded by Kunimura, the grandson of Yamashiro's Kuniyuki and the nephew of Kunisuke, and the family produced many master craftsmen, including his children Kuniyasu and Kunisuke, and from the end of the Kamakura period to the Nanbokucho period. Under the protection of the Kikuchi clan, it flourished in Kikuchi, Higo Province.
This tanto is a slightly slender, late Kamakura period Uchizori sword. Itamehada-tsumi, Mixed Mokumehada, Hayori-Masagakari, Jinie entered fine with clear good Jigane, Faintly Shirake-Utsuritachi, Nioikuchi-Shimarigokoro, Hososuguha, It is an elegant masterpiece.
