Suishinshi Masahide was born in the Uesugi territory of Hashu in the third year of Kan'en, and his name is Gihachiro Kawabe.At first, he studied under Yoshihide Shimohara in Bushuu and named him Takuhide(宅英).In the third year of Anei, he became a feudal lord of the Yamagata Akimoto family, and was renamed Masahide Kawabe and named Suishinshi.The sword has been made for about 50 years from Anei to Bunsei, and in the early days of Tenmei, Kansei, and Kyowa, the blade of Sukehiro Style's Touran-midare or Shinkai-style Suguha Style was burned with Osaka Shintou as the ideal.In his later years, he advocated the theory of swords and tried each of the Sagami, Bizen, and Mino swords as a practitioner of swords. He died at the age of 76 in the 8th year of Bunsei.It is worth mentioning that the technique was published in more than a dozen books, and the disciples also count more than 100 people, including Naotane.
This sword was made in the 4th year of the Bunka era by Masahide, who was 58 years old. It is a gorgeous Hitatsura in the Hasebe style. Nie-Nioi entered deeply, The large and small lies shine beautifully, Kinsuji and Sunagashi-shikirini-kakari, Jiba is bright and clear, A masterpiece.
