Kaneuji, one of the Masamune-Jittetsu(the Ten Great Masters of Masamune), moved from Yamato to Shizu in Mino Province, where his school flourished. The first Kanenobu, named Saemonjiro, is said to be the son of Shizu Saburou Kaneuji, and was active during the Nanbokucho period from the Teiji era to the Ouan era. This name continued into the late Muromachi period.
This sword has wide Mihaba, Thin Kasane, A dignified form reminiscent of Enbun Teiji era style, with a slight shallow Sori-tsuku. Itamehada-tsumi, Mixed Nagarehada, Jinie entered finely with Jigane, Big Yakihaba Gunome, Mixed Togariba, There are Ashi and You frequently, Kinsuji, Niesuji and Sunagashi-kakari, Deep Nioi, Nioikuchi is bright, an excellent sword.
