Ryokai was a swordsmith of the Rai school from the mid to late Kamakura period, and his name was Kurouzaemon.The surviving dates are Shouou, Einin, Kagen, etc., and it is recognized that he was a swordsmith of the same generation as Rai Kunitoshi.His style is similar to that of Kunitoshi Rai, but Shirake stands out and Urumigokoro is featured in the blade.
