【姿】【Shape】: 鎬造、庵棟、身幅尋常、反り深く、腰反りつき、中鋒。Shinogidukuri, Iorimune, Standard Mihaba, Deep Sori, Koshizori-tsuki, Chu-Kissaki.
【鍛】【Kitae】: 大板目肌に、杢目肌交じり、地沸厚くつき、乱れ映りたつ。Oh-Itamehada, Mixed Mokumehada, Jinie entered thick, Midare-Utsuritatsu.

【刀工説明】【Swordsmith】: 越中則重は、越中国婦負郡呉服の住で、江義弘の父と伝える。『古今銘尽』など江戸期の刀剣書は正宗十哲の一人として挙げているが、年紀に延慶・正和等が見られることなどから、新藤五国光門で、正宗の兄弟子にあたるようである。作風は正宗に類似するが、鍛肌に特色があり、大板目が肌立ち地景が太く頻りに入り、渦巻き状を見せるなど、いわゆる「松皮肌」と呼称される同工独特の肌合を呈し、金筋が頻りに掛る。刀工詳細を見る
【説明】【Drscription】: 越中則重は、越中国婦負郡呉服の住で、江義弘の父と伝える。『古今銘尽』など江戸期の刀剣書は正宗十哲の一人として挙げているが、年紀に延慶・正和等が見られることなどから、新藤五国光門で、正宗の兄弟子にあたるようである。作風は正宗に類似するが、鍛肌に特色があり、大板目が肌立ち地景が太く頻りに入り、渦巻き状を見せるなど、いわゆる「松皮肌」と呼称される同工独特の肌合を呈する。この刀は、大板目肌に渦巻き状の肌が頻りに入り、地景黒くよく入り、黒味を帯び、肌立つ、究極の松皮肌を程し、のたれて、互の目に、丁子刃交じり、湯走り・飛び焼き頻りに掛り、足・葉頻りに入り、華やかに乱れ、沸深く付き、金筋・稲妻・砂流し頻りに掛るなど刃中の働き激しく、匂深く、匂沸織成し美しく絡み、匂口明るく冴える則重の持ち味を顕現する出色の出来である。井伊家伝来。Ecchu Norishige lives in Ecchunokuni Nei-gun Gofuku and tells Gouno Yoshihiro's father.
